And in 2013, its successor, Aurvana Live! 2 makes its debut, featuring a slightly higher sensitivity (+2dB/mW) than the original.
PRO: Live! 2's frequency response is quite linear, though not as linear as the original Live!. Since the fit is not as tight as the original, there is much chance for the placement induced amplitude deviation to be involved.
CON: Again, just like its predecessor, this headphone also exhibits a good amount of distortion in the low frequency range below 100 Hz, especially with a lot of odd-order harmonic components.
ON SECOND THOUGHT #1: When compared side by side, it is clear that Live! 2 doesn't live up to the name of its predecessor.
ON SECOND THOUGHT #2: Against the reference of Dr. Sean Olive, Creative Aurvana Live! 2 actually performs worse than the original Live!. There is too much sibilant in the treble & emphasis in the mid-bass.
I can see that driver doesn't really have the good quality...
ReplyDeleteTHD is awful even though it was measured in 100db;;;
Impedance after 3khz is wobbly.....which suppose to not happen with a good quality driver...
really glad i found your post. many thanks!
